Where and how will my dog(s) be walked?
We have a variety of parkland and wooded areas that we walk in which are safe and away from roads to enable your dog to exercise freely. We only walk where we would be happy for our own dogs to be exercised. We like to be able to let dogs exercise off lead once we have got to know them and trust that they will stay with us to enable them to interact and socialise with each other as well as with us. However, upon your request, we will of course walk your dog on lead. We do ask that a towel is available to enable us to wipe down your dog if muddy or wet.
What if I have an elderly dog or a dog recovering from an illness?
As long as your dog is fit enough to go out for a walk we would strongly recommend a one to one walk. We are very experienced in dealing with both invalid and elderly dogs and fully appreciate the additional care and attention they require. Our vehicles are equipped with pet ramps to aid getting in/out, and there is also the good old fashioned arm lift if required.
What if my dog has to be left alone but is unable to go out for a walk?
We offer home visits to break up the day which can include feeding, toilet breaks, play, cuddles, brushing and whatever else you tell us makes your dog happy. Mental and physical stimulation and interaction is very important to a house bound dog, whether they are a young puppy waiting to complete their course of vaccinations, an invalid due to illness or injury or have just simply become too old to go about their normal daily activities.
Can you give my pet medication?
Yes, we are more than happy to give any prescribed medication that your pet may require.
How will my pet travel?
Our pet friendly vehicles are fully kitted out with secure lockable caging which have escape hatches to the front and rear to ensure that in any eventuality we are able to gain immediate access to your pet. We also carry a comprehensive first aid kit to tend to your pet should they injure themselves in any way. We will be in possession of your emergency contact details and those of your vet as these are recorded during our initial meeting.
What other pets will you care for in their own home?
We are happy to visit any domestic pet or bird in their home. We will feed, exercise, clean, and play with them. Any specific request that you make as regards their care will be followed word for word to make sure your pet is as happy and comfortable as humanly possible in your absence. We are happy to board smaller caged pets in our home if preferred.
Non domestic pets ?
Call us to discuss. There is not a lot that will phase us. We will be honest and let you know if we do not feel we can accommodate your request.
How will you know the level of care required by our pets?
We offer a free initial consultation to meet you and your pets. We will ask a series of questions about your pets which will include your emergency contact details, vets details, health issues, any quirks or fears your pet might have (i.e. dogs afraid of thunder, gun shots, fireworks etc.), and any specific requests and feeding/care regimes you wish us to follow.
Where will my key be kept?
Keys are stored in a fireproof safe, and are coded to ensure that your details can never be connected to your key. Your personal file will be stored in a separate secure location to that of your key.
How do we know we can trust you?
We are fully insured. We are CRB checked. We will be happy to provide references upon request. We care.
